Artifacts are special items created by the colonies of the Ancients. They act as powerful modifiers and strategic tools that influence colony development, economy, and progression. The ability to store, buy, and sell artifacts becomes available after constructing the Nuclear Lab building. The maximum number of artifacts that can be stored in a colony’s inventory depends on the level of the Nuclear Lab and scales with its upgrades.
Artifacts are divided into two main categories: consumable artifacts and embeddable artifacts.

Artifacts are traded via a global auction system.

The artifact does not disappear from the inventory while the auction is active.
If the building associated with the artifact is destroyed during the auction, the auction is canceled and the artifact is destroyed.
